January 2011 12 x 12 Layout CONTEST Winner & Entries

Oh my, I am SO far behind on posting the monthly contests! I should make that a priority to get caught up on while I am recuperating from my gall bladder surgery later this month.
Here are the results from our January 2011 contest.
This is what everyone started with:

Our Winner : Laura Hollohan!!
"Where there is LOVE there is LIFE".

How gorgeous is this page?
Well done Laura
Mixing some cross stitch in with the bling - how clever.
Using the ribbon for the leaves on your flowers - too cute.
But your blue ribbon heart full of buttons was the winning touch.

"With a little HELP from my FRIENDS" by Katie Hollohan.

Great use of the ribbons and layering of the flowers.

Katie I love the way you use your pages to tell stories of everyday life and of milestones.
Are those hearts on your bling?
Love the paper piercing to make a frame.

"Timi, Look - MICKEY HOUSE" by Ma-i Garcia

Can't have a Mickey title without the Mickey cricut font!
I really like the ribbon framing the picture.
Do you see the Mickey Bling?
Ma-i - your actual "Micky House" was so creative. Everyone commented on it.
Patti Fisher's "Do You Remember?"
Patti is the flower master.
Where's Jonathan Livingston Seagull?
Patti loves to do pages without photographs - the large ATC!
The brown paper bag as the sand - you're the best Patti!

Love the waves.

Jozanne Pinto's "Sprinkler Day"
Love the ribbon "water" dividing the pictures.
What a cutie.
And colouring the little girl's bathing suit to match her daughter's! Really like the water like letters for the title.
"Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails" by Sara Hollohan
Okay Sara - your IQ is just too high for this craft! So many subliminals in your pages - so terrific! The snail's shell - and the 'nasty boy' who is made up of all these things.
Who came up with the paper piercing around your journaling? You or Katie? Love it. I have to try it.

Shannon Grant Tompkins' "Little Miss Pouty"
The polka dot background rubon is fabulous.
The ribbon flower you made and the black flowers with the bling bring it all together.
I love the simple journaling. Everyone who came in the store thought your photo was great! Even one of my sons.
